About Us

Founded in 1976 by Stan Oster, a graduate mechanical engineer, Mirart made its debut in the glass business. Stan was unable to find properly sized glass plates for decorative use on light switches. Deciding to make them on his own, he began manufacturing these plates from the back room of his glass shop. They were an instant hit and Stan quickly became overwhelmed by the demand for these switch plates from other glass and mirror companies. In order to keep up with the demand, he expanded into a larger facility and began manufacturing a variety of acrylic mirrored products…Mirart was born and the team grew.
